A long -term project of our neighborhood is to get a sound barrier along the Truman Parkway in our neighborhood. A sound study conducted by Kimley Horn, a Savannah-based engineering consultant firm recommended a noise barrier be built in parts of Truman Parkway. The group recommended a 1,400-foot long and 14-feet high noise barrier be built along Truman Parkway in the Bacon Park/Fairway Oaks area. Sean Manion, a board member of the Edgemere/Sackville neighborhood association and former President, says another trouble spot with Truman Parkway noise is the Edgemere/Sackville neighborhood. Our association is cautiously optimistic our area will get a sound study, next.
